Whoever wishes to be loved by Allah should act for Him in secret. To open the doors of ease, we must plant unseen deeds between us and Allah so that the seeds may bear fruit.\nSouls are distinguished by their inner states, not by the desire for public display. When we reform our inner selves, Allah reforms our outward lives.\nDoing good in secret is closer to sincerity, a fragrance for the soul, and among the highest branches of faith.
